Mrs. Clark began her educational career in 2011
as a social studies teacher in Newton County at Newton High School. In 2015,
she became the instructional coach at Newton College and Career Academy. In
these roles, Mrs. Clark gained valuable leadership experience by serving as
social studies department chair, U.S. History content leader, and 8th Period
Program Co-Facilitator.
Mrs. Clark was promoted to assistant principal
at Alcovy High School in 2017 and has proudly served as an Alcovy Tiger ever
since. Since becoming an assistant principal, she has served in many roles and
is currently the Assistant Principal of Instruction.
Mrs.
Gina Clark holds a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Commercial Tourism
from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia, and a Master of Arts
in Teaching from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. She has earned
an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Georgia College
& State University in Milledgeville, Georgia.
A social studies teacher at heart, Mrs. Clark’s favorite quote is from
President Theodore Roosevelt who stated, “Far and away the best prize that life
offers is the chance to work hard at work worth doing.” Working with students
to increase their learning and working with other adults to shape the future is
Mrs. Clark’s “work worth doing!”
